Why Icicles Hanging from your Gutter Guards is Good, Really
This may be a controversial post because icicles hanging from gutters isn’t a good thing, right? If you’re a homeowner who recently installed gutter guards
The owner of this North Canton, Ohio home had LeafFilter gutter guards installed in 2005. In some respects they held up well. But the 5″ gutters weren’t quite large enough to handle the rain volume, which led to overflow in the gutters, sagging gutters, and debris getting caught in the LeafFilter screens. In turn the warping overtime caused the LeafFilter to crack, allowing more debris (and possibly small creatures) into the gutter system, worsening the gutter capacity even more. In other words, after a while it was a downward spiral. The video shows how we figured out what our customer needed (6K gutters and new gutter guards).
We learned a long time ago that the best way to solve gutter and water problems is to thoroughly assess the issues and provide products and services that will fix those problems the first time.
As part of our free consultation, we will:
We thoroughly clean your gutters and downspouts and replace gutters when we’ve determined they’re beyond their useful life.
We use levels to make sure gutters are sloping correctly towards the downspouts. Did you know that gutters are installed incorrectly about 90% of the time?
In order to stop the drip, drip, drip that often occurs when sealant breaks down, we reseal all the end caps and miters to ensure a drip-free experience.
Installing new gutter guards with the proper forward slope, in order to effectively shed debris, is the final step in the process.
